Bouygues Construction

Supplier and subcontractor agreement.

The context

A virtuous supply chain

Today, the construction sector accounts for 38% of greenhouse gas emissions. 70% of the waste produced in France comes from the construction sector. Purchases of energy, materials and services account for over 75% of the Bouygues Construction Group's carbon impact...

In response to these findings, Bouygues Construction is revolutionizing its supply chain by mobilizing its community of subcontractors and suppliers. Committed to decarbonization and social impact, they are working hand in hand to bring about a revolution in sustainable construction.

As a leader, at the center of an ecosystem, Bouygues Construction wanted to give impetus and establish a new dynamic. With the support of Edward Bouygues, Eric Bouret, Group Purchasing Director, and his teams wanted to raise awareness among their partners of their climate strategy and the need to commit together to sustainable construction by launching the first edition of the Committed Supply Chain Forum. Some twenty speakers, ten workshops, nearly 700 French and international suppliers and subcontractors gathered at Bouygues Construction headquarters or connected remotely; an ambitious event to mark the occasion and launch the #NextAct: to think together about our working methods around four pillars - simplicity, trust, a sense of teamwork and a spirit of innovation - to build differently.

Our scope

Long-term support

Since 2019, Brightness has accompanied Bouygues Construction in creating impactful content and organizing internal and external events. This time, we had the pleasure of collaborating with the group's Purchasing department. Engaging its supply chain in a virtuous approach is a major challenge. To achieve this, we organized a launch event for suppliers and subcontractors to inspire and engage a community, create a moment of exchange and sharing, and install a climate of trust. A real editorial journey Organized around 4 sessions: The Challenge, The deal, The path, The mission, the 1st Committed Supply Chain forum "The next act" has kept its promise. Suppliers and subcontractors are on the starting block! It was a real pleasure to dive into the heart of Bouygues Construction and its supply chain issues and to accompany each of the speakers in the preparation of their talk.
