Team seminar: cohesion & projection
For any international team, especially with the distance caused by the health crisis, moments of reunion and team reflection are vital and precious. The seminar is often a high-stakes moment, during which the team wishes to strengthen its links but also to leave with the feeling of having moved forward together.
This was the case for the 3DExperience Lab of Dassault Systèmes, which organised its team seminar in April 2022 and wanted it to be a time for inspiration, sharing and co-construction .
This diverse international team, whose mission is to select, host and support startups with a mission to sustainably transform society, called on Brightness to design and facilitate a workshop day.
The aim? To use external facilitators to ensure that everyone could participate fully and to create a climate conducive to ideation.
The objectives of the day? To take the time to align ourselves, to share our daily missions to identify how to work better together, and to project ourselves to build the future action plan of the team!
Our scope
After having clearly defined the team's mission and its place within the Dassault Systèmes Group, we imagined a tailor-made workshop in 3 steps in order to allow the team to have a climate conducive to exchange and projection into the future .
Using facilitation and gamestorming techniques, we guided the participants step by step through different activities.
As we at Brightness believe that every team time should be storytelling to better engage, we orchestrated these activities around an inspirational thread that echoed their inspirational day the day before (visiting cultural and innovation places).
Of course, we took care to vary the pace, alternating between individual time and time spent in pairs and sub-groups to encourage exchange between as many employees as possible and give everyone the opportunity to express themselves. But above all, we were keen to have them come up with a concrete deliverable, in this case 3 filmed pitches with prioritised ideas to establish a common action plan.
A busy but stimulating day for this team of innovators!
And the day does not end there, as we have devised a series of activities that they can carry out among themselves to keep the seminar alive over time.
