Beyond Walls Paris - The world's largest human chain

From 15 to 30 June 2019

Come and discover the monumental work of the artist Saype on the Champ de Mars, at the foot of the Eiffel Tower!

600 metres long, 25 metres wide, biodegradable paint made from charcoal and chalk: this is the world's largest human chain project.

Bewond Walls

The Beyond Walls project shows intertwined hands united in a common effort to have every human individuality granted civil rights. In a polarised world where mental and physical walls are being erected, the project conveys a universal message of a plural humanity.

Saype, pioneer of Land Art

The Paris installation of Bewond Walls marks the beginning of a 3-year project visible in 20 major international cities (Geneva, Berlin, London, Belfast, Buenos Aires, etc.).

Saype is recognised as a pioneer of a new Land Art movement with social values. Since 2013, the artist has been painting gigantic frescoes on grass with a 100% biodegradable and sustainable paint that he created with natural pigments (chalk and charcoal).

In 2019, he was named one of the most influential people in the cultural world by Forbes. His reputation is gaining credibility in the art industry. In 2018, he collected 300 international articles and over 150 million views.

The Brightness agency is supporting the event through its partnership with the B Corporation network.

Founded in 2006 in the United States, the B Corp brand and community now spans over 60 countries.

This unique community, which brings together historical actors of sustainable development, social economy startups, leading organic brands, impact investment funds and leading organisations of the circular and solidarity economy, shares common convictions with Saype and the Beyond Walls project.

As the B Lab France association is being created, this artistic partnership with Saype comes at the right time to celebrate the values of mutual aid, diversity and interdependence at the heart of the B Corp community.
